Meet the Board

Michelle Zhu

President
Hello guys! I am Michelle Zhu, a rising senior at Walter Payton College Prep. In the past I have taken on multiple programs that involve working with youth to build brighter futures. I also have a passion for knitting and wanted to combine two passions of mine to change the world in my own way.

Kelly Hou

Outreach Director
​​Hi there! I am Kelly Hou, the outreach director for Knitting, ILY and a rising senior at Walter Payton College Prep. Knitting has always been an outlet for me to relax and unwind while creating something I’m proud of. It brings me even more satisfaction to see someone else enjoy something I made, which is why I am so excited to help make it a possibility for others to also have this experience.

Kristen Si

Vice President
Hello! My name is Kristen Si and I am a rising senior at Walter Payton College Prep. After founding my school's UNICEF Club, I've wanted to continue to give back to the community whenever I can! Outside of that, I'm a science nerd and an avid reader.

Annie Chiu

Organizational Director
Hi! My name is Annie Chiu and I am a rising senior at Walter Payton College Prep. I've always been fond of knitting since middle school when I knitted a hat using a round knitting loom, but I never felt confident to continue. Given the opportunity to knit to donate to make someone's day or to provide to anyone in need, there was no excuse to keep putting knitting aside. ​
